Sadly the latest version of Plex there doesn't have anything like "Direct Playback" that I had in the Samsung TV application. It also would not update so I started getting worried that the older application would start not working well.įor all the above, I bought the CCwGTV which has a Plex app that can be updated. Direct Playback also "fixed" a low sound problem, the sound would be in good levels with Direct Playback. Some times a video would be a bit weird and lag and buffer, then I would simply just select Direct Playback and it played the video without fault. It has a Plex client in the Samsung store, but it lacked some things, like subtitle search or functioning search within a video and others. This is the very first time I've seen this behaviour. I know that other content that are already 1080p AAC play well and have for years. I don't think it touches the video part, it just touches the audio part.
